Super Fun Pamper Party Ideas for Kids
These super fun pamper party ideas will keep the kids having fun right up until home time.
1. Make Your Own Face Masks
A pamper party wouldn’t be the same without a face mask. You could buy some of the peel-off-style face masks available in the shops for each party guest. But if you want to keep the kids entertained, they can have a go at making their own face packs.
Making the face masks is super simple. You just need bowls and spoons for each child, plus natural yoghurt and honey. Here’s how to make the face masks:
First get each child to scoop a tablespoon of natural yogurt into their bowl. Next, each child should drizzle a small amount of honey onto the yoghurt. For the next step, kids need to stir the ingredients to combine them. Finally, each child should smooth some of the mask onto their face, sit back and relax for five minutes, before washing it off.
Top Tip: Cut up cucumber slices for each child to place on their eyes for an authentic spa experience!
Don’t forget to check with parents for any allergies before kids make their face masks.
2. Mini Manicures
Kids of all ages love to add some colour to their nails, so stocking up on different shades of nail polish is a good idea. Older kids can take it in turns to paint each other’s nails and experiment with different colour combinations. Nail gems and nail stickers are also sure to be appreciated by the party guests and will allow them to get even more creative.
3. Hair Styling
It’s time to unleash your inner hairdresser and put your styling skills to the test! If hairstyling is not your strong suit, you can still ensure the kids get a salon experience by letting them braid each other’s hair. This is where YouTube comes in handy! Search for step-by-step videos showing how to create hairstyles such as French plaits, and then get everyone to follow along.
4. Mini Makeovers
Experimenting with makeup is something most kids love. So setting up a makeup bar at the pamper party is sure to be a favourite activity. Lay out some blushers, lip glosses, and eye shadows in different colours. Next, sit back and let the kids unleash their inner make-up artist on themselves and each other.
Don’t forget to ask the parents about any skin sensitivities before the letting the kids loose with the makeup.
Top Tip: Supply each child with disposable makeup applicators to avoid cross-contamination.
5. Glitter Tattoos
Glitter tattoos are a popular choice at every party and are ideal for a pamper session. These sparkling temporary embellishments will add a festival feel to the party atmosphere.
Buying a temporary tattoo kit for the kids to use will help to minimise mess and provide them with plenty of designs to choose from. The great thing about glitter tattoos is they are really simple to apply, and can be washed off with ease too.
6. Make Your Own Jewellery
After all the pampering activities are finished, why not get the kids to make some accessories to complete their new look? Making their own jewellery is an activity that will keep kids occupied for ages and it will give them something lovely to take home as a reminder of the party.
You may want to buy a kids’ jewellery making kit that contains all the bits and bobs they will need to make their own accessories. Alternatively, you could simply buy some string and colourful beads and let the kids create their own bracelets and necklaces.
